Located minutes south of Bowling Green, Kentucky, The Potter Farm Events Venue sits on 20 acres of idyllic Southern Kentucky countryside. Our venue provides a lovely setting for weddings of any size. Potter Farm sits on 20 acres of grounds with lovely locations for outdoor wedding ceremonies. Plus, dozens of excellent photography spots – from the fountain to fences to trees!
The main buildings include a beautiful bridal cottage and reception barn that can hold up to 400 people. We have a huge parking lot, an outside fireplace, an outdoor patio area connected to the barn for bands, cocktail hour, or a cool extra dance floor. We’ve installed all kinds of up-lighting options to enhance the aesthetics of your wedding in the evening.
We include the use of white chairs, up to 30 round tables, table clothes, and an arbor at no additional charge. But we have lots of other items to rent. View our pricing.
Potter Farm has multiple places to hold wedding ceremonies. There are several lovely ideal spots on the grounds where we can set up arbors, chairs, church pews, etc. Let your dreams imagine the setting! You can also hold the ceremony inside the barn with your décor, creating a magical atmosphere.
We will have the venue ready and the table/chairs laid out according to your pre-arranged floor plan. We are not wedding coordinators. We strongly encourage you to have someone in charge of coordinating the day of your event.
We are around to help with questions your wedding coordinator planner might have. Since we rent the venue to you, we stay close but not in the way.
You can serve liquor at your event as long as you hire a licensed/insured bartender or bartending catering services. We have a few companies we recommend. They provide excellent service and offer discounted prices through partnerships with local liquor stores. The good news is you get to purchase your alcohol, and we are not the middleman.
In general you should hire an insured caterer for your food service. We do not have a kitchen for food preparation. View our recommend catering vendors.
We have popular add-ons people love, most notably, farm tables. They are so lovely by themselves and only require minimum decorations on the tables if you choose to display the beautiful wood. But if the more formal look is your style, we have some gorgeous tablecloths with traditional tables. The buffet tables are also ideally located; many people use them as part of their arrangements/floor plans.
We have 20 whiskey barrels that can be used in various ways! They’re perfect outside for cocktail hour as standing tables, place décor items on the barrels for special touches around the barn, or put a tabletop on the barrels and use it as your cake table.

You are responsible for returning the venue as you found it. You must completely clean up and place all trash in the provided dumpster. We recommend hiring a coordinator.
While we handle the setup of tables and chairs, we do not “flip” them during the event. If you require a flip of locations during the event, one of your approved vendors may handle that.
